Our Apprentices receive support through authentic, ‘hands on’ learning experiences that compliment the knowledge and skills studied at TAFE. As an Apprentice, you can expect dynamic learning and access to a range or experiences where every day is different.
We also offer Traineeships in a range of qualifications, which allow our employees to upskill through either in class or self paced online study, complimented with on the job experience and mentoring.

As part of our commitment to gender diversity, Whittens launched an Entry Level Female Operator Program. This initiative has been designed to offer females with little or no construction experience provides a pathway into the industry with a learning framework to support development. Participants are provided with a mentor who assists them to build a foundational understanding of our portfolio or works. Participants will also gain various qualifications and tickets throughout the program, allowing them to eventuate to becoming Multiskilled Operators.
