Jordan’s career with Whittens back in 2012 when commenced as an Apprentice Carpenter (Formwork). After completing his apprenticeship in 2015, Jordan was promoted to Supervisor and transitioned into the Equipment and Transport division of the business.
Jordan played a pivotal role in the opening of Whittens’ first workshop in 2017, based in Singleton NSW. He spent the next three years’ as Plant Coordinator, leading a team responsible for plant and equipment rebuilds and repairs.
Jordan relocated to Western Australia in 2020 as Plant Manager and has been responsible for growing our Plant Team to 12 personnel with workshops in three regional locations to service our nation-wide project requirements.
Today, Jordan heads up Whittens Plant Hire, a stand alone company providing high-quality plant and associated services to Whittens and external organisations in the mining and construction industries.
Whittens Plant Hire allows us to achieve enhance operational efficiency and continuous improvement across our projects, and offers a diverse and well maintained selection of equipment to its customers.
Jordan says, “During my 12 years with Whittens I have been lucky enough to work across a number of roles in different locations. Each step has been an opportunity to grow the business and also my career.”
Jordan is the son of Tyron Whitten, co-founder and brother of Clayton.
