Whittens was recently engaged to undertake the rehabilitation of land along 132 kilometres of Concentrate and Return Water Pipeline from the Iron Bridge mine to Port Hedland.
Whittens was perfectly placed to undertake this scope due to our familiarity with site conditions and requirements, having been heavily involved with the original pipeline excavation works over the previous 18 months. Our scope involved:
- Topsoil respreading, levelling, grading and scarification,
- Bulk load and haul operations,
- Detailed finishing works in environmentally sensitive areas
- Pipeline survey marker post install
Thanks to a responsive mobilisation and the great work of the team on site, Whittens are on track to have the works completed well ahead of schedule, supporting our positive stakeholder engagement.
We look forward to providing further assistance to Iron Bridge with any future pipeline of works.
